I use Mac because:

I used to use XP and it just became a daily struggle near the end.
I've tried Vista and it's way too confusing.
I've tried Linux. Do I need to go further here?

I use Vista, it's what came on my new PC. I like XP the best. I do have Linux on my PS3.

xp at work and unfortunately Vista in my laptop...I seriously need to downgrade.

Not sure if you're saying Linux is a bad system or not, but it's probably the best out there if the user has the know how to use it. Plus, there's also the diff falvor of linux to choose from, each with their own benefits. It might be harder to use/understand because it's not as highly supported by the general public. The Mac OS X is base off the linux/unix kernel.

1.Linux
2.Windows XP
3.Mac OS X
4.Vista

i use mac os x i think that it is a little safer and its more user friendly then a pc.

I use XP. The wife has Vista on her laptop, and I do not like it. It LOOKS too bloated. I haven't used it enough to come across one of the new functionality features that makes me think "I wish XP had this". I'll continue using XP until it's no longer feasible. Windows 7 should be a lot better. MS fouled up with Windows ME, and then put out the excellent XP. Hopefully history will repeat with Vista and Windows 7.

How do you feel about mac os x

Mac OS X is a great OS, but don't believe all the hype that it doesn't come without any flaws. It has a gorgeous GUI (but that's all a matter of opinion), and is more user friendly than the competition (but that's only if you're starting from the ground up and never touch a pc before. If you're transferring from a pc, it could get a little getting used to.) My biggest problem with the Mac is not the Mac itself, but with its fanbase. Think Sony/Nintendo/Microsoft fanboys are bad? Wait until you have a problem with your Mac and try to make some kind of negative comment about it.

Why does Windows get 2 options and OS X gets one? There is OS 10.4 & OS 10.5 that are both in wide use.

I use both MAC OS X Leopard on my mac pro and Vista on my Vaio. Vista is such a pain in the ass. I'm bootcamping my mac pro soon and installing XP which should be sweet and convenient.
