GameGirl names the top 7 games to play with your family

With the holidays in full effect, these are the best games to play in large numbers, says Game Girl.

Thanksgiving is coming up, and I know everyone wants something to do rather than hear embarrassing stories of when you were young. So why not do some family bonding gamer-style? Well, you're in luck, because I have the top 7 games that you AND your family will enjoy!

Let's face it; your grandmother isn't going to want to watch you play Dead Rising. I know, I know. It's a shame. But there are plenty of games that you can play, not only with your intermediate family, but your grandparents, aunts, nieces, cousins, friends-Whoever! Some of these games are on multiple systems, which means you don't have to have a specific system for all of these, and you can dust off that Gamecube or Super Nintendo!! However you go about it, there's something here for everyone.

Thumbs down for trying to say 1st. I LOVE how that immature thing has sort of stop ever since gamepro added the option of giving a person's post a negative mark that eventually hides the comment after 3- or so.

I agree with everyone else, Summoner is an idiot. I find time to play GH with my daughter. Me and my sons play Madden or FPS games and talk about the days events in their lives in between. The only person in the family that doesn't game is my wife but she likes old school games, galaga .

Mario was awesome same with the older Mario Party games. Never played with my family though.

I wish I could find some peeps to play with me locally. But for now it's all Xbox Live all the time.

Saturn bomberman, Mario party 1, bust a move 2, SSBB, Guardian Heroes, tetris attack, mario kart 64, 007 goldeneye, virtua fighter 2 are my favorite multiplayer games (notice no halo, COD, GOW, WOW)

That's why the Wii is outselling the PS3 and Xbox360 on average every single month 4-1.

I play Zelda with my kids. Wii games with my Wife. Anyone saying video games are not for families is a moron and needs to look at the huge success of that untapped market Sony and MS seemed to miss and Nintendo grabbed on to.

Sigggghhhh, I gave up trying to teach my parents how to play video games 13 years ago back in the SNES/Genesis era (trying to teach them how to play Mario Kart and Donkey Kong Country). That's one achievement I'll never get, ugh.
