Nintendo Europe ditches red logo for adult-looking gray one

What's black and white and used to be red all over? No, not a newspaper--it's the new Nintendo logo!

While the Internet slogan, "Nintendo abandoned the core" is all the rage right now, there is something out there Nintendo has actually abandoned that has some truth to it: Its logo.
That's right. After 20 years of service, Nintendo has decided to abandon its tried-and-true red logo. For a gray one.
But don't despair just yet, dear American readers, because the change is only in Europe (for now). It looks the same; but the coloring has shifted. What was once a fun, vibrant red is now a dull, lifeless gray. North American audiences, and those customers preparing to wait in four-hour lines on Black Friday, will be buying Wii's and Nintendo DS bundles adorned with the traditional red logo. Not gray.
Well, this is Europe we're talking about, so I suppose we should be saying the new "colour" of Nintendo is "grey."

I don't understand how gray is more adult-looking... it's the exact same logo! Like if Cooking Mama had they gray logo, it would magically turn into a hardcore mature title.

Although the Wii had very few "good" games this year, I'm sure next year will be much better (Conduit, Madworld, House of the dead, new Zelda, new mario, kid icarus, sadness, etc.)

About a month ago, I was telling my cousin how Nintendo must own the rights to that shade of gray. Joking about how they've used the same color gray since the NES.

Big news from the Big N. Hey since wii doesn't get any good games for the holidays, give them a new logo to stare at till Kid Icarius comes out. Wii is two years old and has less than 6 good games on the system. Wii is blessed with 2 drops of Reggies piss on every system!
