New DS Lite bundles arrive on 'Black Friday'

REDMOND, Wash.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The day after Thanksgiving might be known to holiday shoppers as "Black Friday," but this year Nintendo is rewarding eager consumers with two brilliant splashes of color. On Nov. 28, Nintendo will release a duo of limited-edition Nintendo DS(tm) bundles, each pairing a Nintendo DS game title with a hand-held system in a bold new color. The Mario(tm) Red Nintendo DS bundle includes a red system emblazoned with a familiar M for Mario, and a copy of New Super Mario Bros(tm). The Ice Blue Nintendo DS comes with a custom carrying case and the popular Brain Age(tm): Train Your Brain in Minutes a Day. Each bundle sells at an MSRP of $149.99.

Expected to rank high on holiday wish lists among first-time gamers and veteran players alike, the Mario Red and Ice Blue systems are the latest additions to Nintendo's rich palette of distinctive Nintendo DS colors. As people across the nation make their way to malls and retailers for pre-holiday sales and events, shoppers are encouraged to act fast if they want to get their hands on these limited-edition bundles.

"Nintendo DS is both the most affordable and the most popular video game system in this generation," said Cammie Dunaway, Nintendo of America's executive vice president of Sales & Marketing. "These limited-edition bundles make great gifts for first-time Nintendo DS players and collectors alike."

The Mario Red and Ice Blue DS bundles won't be the only stocking stuffers this season. Nintendo also aims to brighten the season for core and new gamers with its growing selection of Nintendo DS games. Pok?mon(tm) Ranger: Shadows of Almia and Kirby Super Star(tm) Ultra are already in demand among casual gamers and younger players. The new Personal Trainer(tm): Cooking helps people become masterful chefs. And Mystery Case Files(tm): MillionHeir(tm) keeps friends and families enthralled with a series of unique seek-and-solve puzzles.

No. That would be too quick for localization of the DSi and DSi software. They can do it next year, though.

Of course not. That's why they are the most success game company, and that's why it was them who revitalized the game market in the 80's after Atari and publishers for Atari's consoles screwed it up. Because they don't do anything right. Lacking brain cells, are we?

Well since the ds is still selling strong here in the states they won't release the dsi until the ds sells slow way down

Looking at the current Wii line up for the Holidays, if you call it a line up, it makes you wonder why would anyone buy a wii. 5 good games in 2 years is not acceptable by any standards. PS3 and 360 get good to great games on a monthly bases. They get a mix of action, FPS, sports and RPG's. I took the time to look at a few games for the wii in December. Imagine: Fashion Party. More like imagine wii owners getting a good game! Six Flags Fun Park! Wait, if thats not enough, they got the Limited Edition version for $10 more! Save your money , sit in a office chair and spin till you puke! Word Jong Party: keep that $40 and go to a Bong Party. You have the best time you'll never remember. Garfield gets Real: more like Wii owners get BENT! My personal favorite, Fantasy Aquairium.Wii owners stick your heads in a toilet filled with shit and DON'T flush! Look on the bright side, you got Rygar coming. Ps2 port that looks better on the 7 year old PS2 than on the Wii. Reggie blesses every Wii with 2 drops of piss before they are shipped. Thats why there is a shortage, not enough piss for the wiis
