Dead Space survival horror gets a DLC upgrade

EA has the details today on a spate of new DLC headed to its critically acclaimed survival horror title Dead Space.
The surgical decapitation and dismemberment featured in EA's space survival horror title Dead Space gets a weapons upgrade with today's DLC announcement.
The DLC launches on Nov. 13 via the Xbox Live Marketplace and the PlayStation Store (in Europe only). Other PSN users will have access to the DLC on Nov. 20.
Below you'll find the the complete EA press release list of upgrade packs (cleaned up nicely by the folks at Wired), along with the pricing for their relevant consoles.
All consoles:
* Astronaut Pack: Download the Astronaut Suit and Weapon Skin Pack, featuring an amazing Astronaut Suit and new skins for the Plasma Cutter, Pulse Rifle, and Ripper! ($3.00 / 240 MS points)
* Big Gun Pack: Download the Steam Punk Force Gun, the ultimate in Necromorph-killing destruction. ($1.00 / 80 MS points)

I loved Dead Space. But new Weapon and armor skins is nothing worth downloading. I already have the Military suit. I don't need any other suit. Why not some episodic content, like the way Half-Life 2 had episodes? I would gladly pay 15 dollars(maybe more) if it was more gameplay. There are way to many good games out right now for me to be wasting my time with a couple of new skins. Call of Duty World at War anyone?

Instead, I'll just play through a 2nd time and upgrade my weapons the old fashion way, with Power Nodes. What is this DLC? The Next Gen answer to Game Genie? BS!

I was glad to have beaten this game and then subsequently sell it away. There was no way I was going back into the Ishimura. To hell with that!
