GTA IV expansion date still in the air

Rockstar co-founder Dan Houser says he's "not sure" when the promised downloadable content will arrive on Xbox 360.
"It's going well, but we don't know a date," Houser told Variety in an interview published on Friday, speaking of the exclusive GTA IV expansion coming to Xbox 360. "We hope to be announcing that in the next few weeks."
Houser's comments are the latest in a long line of conflicting statements from Rockstar and Microsoft. In August, Microsoft said "the first episodes" of the GTA IV expansion would arrive on Xbox 360 this holiday.
A month later, amid rumors of a delay to 2009, Rockstar told GamePro, "We haven't announced a release date." The downloadable Xbox 360 expansion was originally scheduled for release this year.
TELL US: Would you mind if the GTA IV expansion slipped to 2009, which seems like a done deal?

releasing it in 2009 would likely boost sales better compared to releasing it in the same year it comes out. or maybe not.

I can't believe i'm saying this, but I hope the GTA IV DLC gets delayed...I really do. There are soooo many games to play this year, I don't think I can fit in GTA IV as well. I hope they take their time and release the content next year. Haste makes waste I always say.

My GTA4 will be sold by this time... this was a BIG waste of money for Microsoft. it should've been released already.

I beat the game 3 weeks after it came out, and ever since then, it has been collecting dust, so the "exclusive" downloadable content no longer interests me.

nobody is playing it anymore. what a joke. ms got screwed by paying money for this.lol guess they are going to have to bump up the failure rate again to pay for it.

2009 is logical like Train of thought said. They don't want fiscal year 2008 to be really high with 2009 low so they move it to 2009 to even out things.

Just as long as they take there time on it. I don't care if it has to come out next year.
