No more Heroes for Ubisoft

Declining ratings put a stop to Ubisoft's endeavors to create a game from NBC Universal's hit TV series.
Ubisoft has confirmed with MTV that it has halted development of its games based on the "Heroes" series. Announced last year, the game had previously been slated for a multi-platform release but likely won't ever see the light of day.
A company spokesperson elaborated, "The rights to the 'Heroes' video game have reverted back to NBC Universal. Ubisoft will no longer produce a video game based on the TV series."
Super powered without super ratings.
Don't be quick to paint Ubisoft as the villain in this story, though. NBC Universal has come under scrutiny for its handling of the series that has led to a decline in ratings during the second and current third seasons. Complicated plots and too many characters have driven away viewers and could have had an impact on the decision to can the game.
Considering Ubisoft's lack of success with another high profile television property--"Lost"--the company may have been quick to drop the sinking show. According to NPD figures, Lost: Via Domus only moved 103,000 copies in its multi-platform release. Then again, "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" spin-offs have proven fruitful, despite poor reviews.
Can Heroes: The Game make a comeback? Should another publisher pick up the mantle or is it best to let this one lie? Tell us!

it's a good move actually for both parties (ubisoft and heroes).. to heroes, it's not like ubisoft makes great games based on tv shows.. and to ubisoft, heroes is just really bad right now, although there's still some potential in it.. but i honestly think this is a very good move by ubisoft..

heroes is a awesome, ubisoft should totally make the game, cause ubisoft is a good company and the only reason lost didn't do so well is because lost is a complicated show and it's hard to fallow I think and besides just cause one of there games didn't do so well shouldn't mean heroes: the game will bad.

I've never seen a show take such a sudden nose dive the way Heroes did. Such a good first season, the end.
