Official site shows Rock Band 2 for Wii delayed until 2009

The official Rock Band site now lists a new, and delayed, January 2009 release date for the Wii version of Rock Band 2.
The Rock Band brand, already in some hot water with Wii owners after a late to the game feature lacking port in 2007, won't be winning anybody back if a Rock Band 2 delay listed on the game's official web site comes to light.
According to the site, Rock Band 2 for Wii will arrive on store shelves this January 5, 2009. Previously, the GamePro release calendar shows the game was originally listed with a November 18 release date.
Other retail sites still list Rock Band 2 for the Wii with a November 16 and 17 release date. They include Amazon, Best Buy, Gamestop, and Walmart.

It almost sounded to good to be true with all they were saying it would be able to do. I'd rather see them delay it and make it have the same functionality as 360/PS3 than not at all.

It was done to give teir new track pack time to sale not to improve the game. Its just Rock Band 1 released again with the same crappy development it had 6 months ago.. I think it was a great idea to push a 20 track pack over a full game release.. Next year Wii owners wont even get Rock Band because EA will blame Wii owners for not wanting an extremely last gen POS port with nothing next gen about it. Any Wii owner supprting this game needs to be shot. When a dev goes out of their way to let you know you mean nothing to them the last thing you need to do is support their games. They wanted the 360 to get all the attention so they better hope 360 owners support them. I wouldnt touch Rock Band on PS3 or Wii until they start treating PS3 and Wii owners like they matter.
