Street Fighter IV, HD Remix nearing release

Capcom has dated Street Fighter 4 in Japan for February and Street Fighter HD Remix for download later this month on Xbox 360 and PS3.
"HD Remix is coming to your console this November," the Capcom PR team said in an email to GamePro this morning. "Exact date... TBD. Don't hate me! Trust us, its coming."
Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix is an enhanced remake of Super Street Fighter II Turbo featuring hand-drawn high definition graphics. Pricing for the downloadable game has not been announced.
In related news, Capcom announced yesterday that Street Fighter IV would arrive in Japan in February. A U.S. release has not been set, but history proves it shouldn't be longer than a few months after its native launch in Japan.

It always makes me laugh that once again Capcom is going to release another version of Street Fighter II. After 16 years, another version of Street Fighter II is coming out. I love the idea.

If the price is right, I will difintely DL SF2HD. Saves me the trouble of dusting of the Genisis. SF2 is always good for old school fun.

The sprites look a lot nicer, too bad they probably don't move a lot nicer, but that would probably mess up the flow of the gameplay

Is it just me, or should they have released HD Remix months ago, to build up anticipation for SFIV? I mean, who would buy both?

If you've seen a gameplay video in motion, the animation is just as it was way back in 1994, and the HD sprites make it look totally ridiculous, plus the fireball effects look pretty crappy.. if they were gonna make the sprites look current gen they should have made the animation that way as well while at the same time retaining the feel of the original. Probably easier said than done though.
