Expansion pack will offer PS3 BioShock owners the chance to battle it out in three new self-contained scenarios.
DLC is hot!
Today 2k Games has finally detailed the PS3-exclusive BioShock DLC that it announced was coming to the PlayStation Network back on October 20.
For $10, PS3 owners will be able to download three new challenge rooms for the PlayStation 3 version of the popular FPS, which launched for the Xbox 360 in 2007.
The rooms reportedly feature new locations, objectives, trophies, and artwork that's not found in the main game, said a 2K Games press release.
The three rooms are:
A Shocking Turn of Events - A Little Sister is trapped atop a Ferris wheel in an undisclosed location in Rapture. Using only the tools and environment around them, players must use their wits to create electricity to power the Ferris wheel and bring the Little Sister to safety.
The I in Team - Using limited resources, and an even more limited arsenal, players must negotiate traps and find a way to defeat a Big Daddy using their wits instead of raw firepower.
Worlds of Hurt Step up and take on the most grueling challenge offered in the world of Rapture. Players must battle through eight rooms of Big Daddies, Splicers and the worst that Rapture has to offer. Accumulate Adam, build an arsenal of Plasmids, Tonics and Weaponry, and fight through to rescue the Little Sister.
BioShock for the PS3 launched on October 21.

An expansion pack is nice, but you have to realise that these programmers do very little with the expansion packs, so its almost 100% profit for them. Not to go to far off though, I played the first one - so this sounds pretty awesome :)

I wouldn't spend $10 on this DLC. Its just as bad as $5 for Yoda/Vader on SC4. 5 more dollars and I could just buy Wipeout on PS3. $50 game at a $20 value.

They should have had this content in the game when it shipped! The game is over a year old and they still want $60 for the game. The content should've been free!

man.....see this is the kinda DLC that has me thinking about trading in my 360 copy for a ps3 copy.....some of that content seems really cool, and when it comes to games like Bioshock....just about any DLC is good DLC.

yes I agree these are greedy bastards, they release a game a year late , then they have extra content a week later that costs extra cheese , I know it can't be a recession in the gaming community

Sooo...when's the 360's version of this coming? Don't tell me it would be difficult releasing this on BOTH consoles, because that is BS.
