Heroines demo their way to Xbox 360, PS3

Tomb Raider Underworld and Mirror's Edge demos make their way to high-definition consoles this week.

Two game demos starring attractive ladies made their way to Xbox 360 and PS3 this week. The first, Mirror's Edge, is a first-person "adventure" game that has players delivering sensitive information on foot because a "Big Brother" government has seized control of all electronic communication. The free demo is available on the PlayStation store today, followed by Xbox Live marketplace tomorrow.

The second game needs no introduction: Lara Croft's latest will arrive on all major platforms next month. To tease the experience, publisher Eidos has released a free demo on Xbox 360 today, followed by a PC version tomorrow. A PS3 version has not been announced.

2 years later and I still don't get y companies still do that BS. "Yeah well give a demo for 360 and PC but not PS3" or "Yeah we'll give a beta to 360 and PC but not PS3"
It'll be funny at the end of the 7th gen if the PS3 did outsell 360.

I think by not releasing a demo for the PS3 they only hurt themselves. I usually don't buy games unless I've played the demo before, unless it's a AAA game then you know it will be good. Who cares let them lose sales.

Maybe they just don' like the PS3, lol. But I personally don't understand it either. How hard is it to make a PS3 version of a downloadable demo you just crafted for the 36 and pc? As for the PS3 outselling the 360, that could only happen in one scenario: if Microsoft completely drops support for the 360 when they move onto their next system. Then, theorytically the PS3 could cetch up. But I still don't see that happening.

I think Eidos owes PS a little bit of loyalty, if it weren't for the PS series of consoles, Eidos wouldn't be much of a game developer/publisher ...
I'm not saying the demos should only be on PS3 but they should also be availible on PS3 ...

I gotta agree with you there. Eidos got its name on the PS1,and kept it strong with the PS2. But who says that Tomb Raider's demo wasn't coming to PS3?

You got to be kiddin'. The 360 had a years head start and they ain't they far ahead of PS3 now. I don't think it's Microsoft that Sony is worried about. It is just a matter of time before they over take 360. If they decide on a price drop, it'll probably do it a lot sooner.

HTH ...

I find Tomb Raider looks a little boring, but Mirror's Edge looks really cool and different, and it almost gave me motion sickness just looking at the video. Looks like another strong effort from EA.
