The Conduit gets a publisher: Sega -- UPDATE

The most hyped Wii game of the moment, the Conduit, has found a publisher.
UPDATE: Sega has confirmed it will be the publisher for The Conduit. For screenshots and Conduit art, visit the SEGA FTP site.
High Voltage, the developer behind super-hyped Wii FPS The Conduit, have found a publisher.
So who is the mysterious publisher? For now that information remains a secret, although there were some pretty telling clues at one prominent publisher's web site.
Over at Sega, a public FTP site listing, which has since been pulled, listed "The Conduit" as one of its folders. The listing is gone now, and Sega has yet to comment.
UPDATE: Here's a screen cap of the pulled folder, courtesy of Nintendo Everything.
If anything, the announcement rewards more than a year of patience for the developer, which told IGN on Tuesday that after a long decision making process, it had finally decided on a publisher, and would reveal the name within the week.
Now, Sega's no Nintendo, which was floated as a Conduit publisher by a dazed and confused Cammie Dunaway at E3, but it would be an impressive coup for High Voltage nonetheless.

Its good to see that this game has found a publisher. Even though I have no love for the Wii, I'm interested in how this FPS is going be pulled off. With no real fps, except for COD5, its a needed for the wii. FPS come a dime a dozen on 360/ps3.

So Nintendo isn't publishing this game? Damn.. it still looks good but I don't have the same kind of confidence with the Sega announcement as I did with Nintendo.

Whether the game is good or not will not change based on who the publisher is. I could publish the game and it would still be as good or as bad as if Nintendo published it.
If Sega is indeed the publisher, it could turn out to be one of the first really good games Sega has put out in a long time, if The Conduit turns out to be good. Go Sega!

eday, Nintendo isn't going to put their name on any 3rd Party properties unless it is top notch, and this could be one reason why the Big N has turned it down. Need I mention one of the best FPS's of all time came from Nintendo? Sega on the other hand needs all the decent software they can find and probably were knocking on High Voltages door themselves. So, with that being said, Nintendo will have a lot of say so in what goes and what does not go if they decide to publish a product, it's called the Nintendo Seal of Quality, it's only been around since 1985.

Sega did publish a decent FPS game recently in Condemned 2, but overall I think Nintendo has a much stricter quality code for software than what Sega has. Thats not to say the game still doesn't look promising.

Yup, Condemned 2 was pretty good. Both games in the series were good.

Most anticipated Wii game since Mario Kart for me... playing so many PS3 shooter right now : Resistance, Dead Space, Bioshock and soon R2, this will be a nice change. Love Wii's FPS controls, can't wait to buy this one... I think the shrink wrap will come off real quick... regardless who publishes it!

Ironic that a company that was once in direct competition with Nintendo now has one of the best line ups next year. Conduit,Madworld and House of the dead.

What do you mean no real FPS? How about Heroes 2 and Corruption? Easily two of the best games on Wii. CoD5 isn't even released yet.
