Guitar Hero bling: Logitech's $250 guitar accessory

Love Guitar Hero: World Tour? Like, really love it? Then this $250 guitar from Logitech might be up your alley.

Guitar Hero bling: Logitech's $250 guitar accessory

Guitar Hero excess.

If you absolutely have to own everything related to Guitar Hero, then Logitech's $250 premier edition guitar for World Tour could be for you.

The premium accessory, announced today via an Activision press release, won't make anyone a better guitar player by any stretch of the imagination, but it will include metal frets and metal tuning peg handles, a rosewood fingerboard and wood neck, and "rubber dome" technology in the buttons to eliminate noise.

The guitar is fully licensed by Activision for use with the PS3 and PS2 (sorry, everyone else), meaning it will feature a new touch-sensitive neck slider that graces the simpler, all plastic, GH:WT guitars.

This premium piece of Guitar Hero lore is available in December for $250.

Only for the most Guitar Hero obsessed fan at that price, but at least it will look better in your living room than the cheap piece of garbage guitar that comes with the game. This one is at least very presentable. But I can think of a hundred better things to spend $250 on. Though it's nice that the option is there for those who really really want it.

It might look better, but it makes you look bad to have a $250 controller.

Lol, for that price you can get the band bundle and an extra copy of the game. I'll respectfully pass.

It does look pretty damn sweet, though.

Or you could buy a real guitar for that same amount of money or even less, and learn a more valuable skill...

Toneman

You can get a semi-decent axe for that much money... seriously! Why would anyone pay 250$ for a video game controller... especially if it's only used for 1 game?

iamkid

that is one sweet guitar, but outta my price range. premiere controllers are just too expensive for most people
