Call of Duty: World at War gets beta update

A week after its private release, Activision has updated the beta of World at War to include new weapons, challenges, and perks.
News of the update came by way of the game's official forums, in which developer Treyarch said the level cap had been raised to 24, giving beta testers access to new weapons, objectives, and perks. New "hardcore" playlists have also been added to the beta, including one called "Search and Destroy," and some unspecified bugs have reportedly been taken care of.

YES YES YES I was hopeing they would do this, the beta was to short but this really helps more violence and reasons to play here I come.

yes, finally! ive been waitin for hardcore..im tired of unloading a whole clip to kill 2 people..having to reload and gettin lit up by the 3rd comin around the corner...and gettin to 11 was to short..i want more guns..more perks..more EVERYTHING!!!

Awesome! I'll get on in a little while and check it out. Hopefully one of the unspecified bugs was the one where people were crawling under the ground on the Roundhouse map.

I agree- I was skeptical when I saw Treyarch was doing it because although I loved COD2 and COD4 (Infinity Ward), I really didn't like Treyarch's attempt at COD3. After playing the beta though, I think I will keep my pre-order...it's really a lot of fun. Looks different, but the gameplay is smooth and exciting....now if they'd just fix the glitch on Roundhouse where everyone crawls under the map!
