Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe arrives Nov. 16

Midway today announced that the latest version of Mortal Kombat will sweep the leg of PS3 and Xbox 360 owners in the middle of November.

Batman, Scorpion, Superman, Liu Kang, Joker, and Sub-Zero: worlds are colliding. On November 16, the eighth installment of Mortal Kombat arrives on Xbox 360 and PS3, replete with a host of heroes from DC Universe.

Midways has confirmed 22 fighters, a handful of gameplay changes, and contrary to original reports, there will be fatalities (though not as obscene as in the past).

But is it quarter worthy?

This game will NOT top Marvel vs. Capcom. Period.

I'd wish Gamepro would actually put full details on the fatalities, especially how that's the only thing they were talking about.

There's fatalities for MK characters and DC villains, while Brutalities are given to DC heroes because a superHERO killing someone isn't right.

Oh and, each character has TWO finishers each

I'd bet there are hidden characters in there as well, sort of a staple for an MK game ...

I'll be getting this game for sure,but I may wait a long while before that happens. Not that I don't have faith in Boon and company.

This looks like fun although I have never played a MK game. I did enjoy Soul Caliber. Is the fighting similar?

I want this game but $60 is a lot for this game. Even though my son's gonna want it. He's in his Batman and Superman stage and I've been a huge MK fan since it first came out.

i think this game will do pretty well. the concept is so crazy it just might work. i just wish they had more than just 22 characters.
