Blizzard reveals Wrath of the Lich King requirements

See if your PC will be able to play latest video game crack expansion. (Hint: you probably will, as these specs are nice and low!)

Blizzard reveals World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King requirments

In sum, PC users will need at least Windows XP with Service Pack 3, a 1.3 GHz processor, 15 GB free hard drive space, and 512 MB of RAM (double for Vista users) to play Wrath of the Lich King. Mac users must have OS X 10.4.11 or newer, a PowerPC G5 1.6 GHz or better, and 1 GB of RAM.

A minimum 3D graphics card with at least 32 MB of VRAM is required for either PC or Mac, such as an ATI Radeon 7200 or NVIDIA GeForce 2 class card or better.

It's interesting to note that the required specs, as have always been the case with World of Warcraft and subsequent expansions, are encouragingly low. Is it any wonder there are 11 million paying subscribers, accounting for 62 percent of all online MMOs?

World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King is scheduled for release on Nov. 13.

Proof that games don't have to have cutting edge requirements to be fun. Like the article said, this is why WoW is so popular; most people can run it.

True story that mate, but WoW is actuall boring.. its just addictive.
I say that from an unfortunate 3 years experience I had with it, eventually came to senses and quit though :)

I've never played WoW, is it good? I'm avoiding it for fear of getting hooked (that and paying for online play...that is, do you have to pay to play online?)

I don't understand how something can be "boring" and so addictive at the same time. I don't know about you, but when i play something boring, i usually toss it out the window the next day. WoW is so addictive because it's fun.

That's good that it makes the game for most pc systems and not only for the high level pc's.

i wouldn't say it's boring, it just gets repetitive once you hit that limit. the good thing about it is there's always something different to do, ex: pvp. i started doing bg's/arenas more lately and so far it has brought new life to the game.
