Poll: Which type of distribution do you prefer?

Steam is sort of like the iTunes of downloadable PC games (only a lot smaller)

Nintendo president Reggie Fils-Aime says downloadable games won't "take over retail game sales," speaking of his company's newly announced DSi download store.

But while disc-based games make up the lion's share of distribution, downloadable games are making in-roads, particularly as indie and $5-20 arcade-style games. What's more, movies are moving to an all digital world, and music has all but made a full transition. The logical reasoning is that games will follow, like it or not.

Speaking personally, I'm undecided: I love being able to download a spontaneous purchase on demand, but it sucks when you can't gift, trade, or resell a game you don't enjoy. So we ask you kind readers:

I have to have my hard disc copy. I am a collector afterall. Although I do enjoy the little $5-15 downloadable games, I can get the majority of them for free on OXM's monthly demo disc.

Both are good. Though if your hard drive is broken you lose all of your games. It is great that they have all of these classic games for sale as downloads. Also it feels good to hold the disc and place them in the console.

Hard copy. Think about it, every console goes obsolete after a couple of years, so what do you do when you want to replace your 360 with the, lets say, 720? What do you do with all those downloaded games? Same goes for Wii and PS3.
