Sony Computer Entertainment of Japan today promised 11 new PS3 titles and three new PSP games to be shown at the Tokyo Game Show next week.
Despite Nintendo dominance in sales, Sony continues to make a strong case that 2008 is the "year of the PS3."
Today, SCE Japan unveiled its TGS lineup for both the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Portal, which includes a tantalizing 14 "unannounced" games. Sony will show nine new PS3 games and three new PSP games, while Konami has one new PS3 game in its back pocket, followed by another from Japanese publisher Irem.
Granted, there's no guarantee on how many of the 14 games will make there way stateside (Sony America was not immediately available for comment), but you can at least count on a handful, if not more.
Notable playable games to be shown at the event include Guitar Hero World Tour, FIFA '09 World Class Soccer, Street Fighter IV, Resident Evil 5, SOCOM: Confrontation, PlayStation Home, MotorStorm 2, LittleBigPlanet, Resistance 2, and WWE 2009 on PS3, and Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep, Secret Agent Clank, Patapon 2, and LocoRoco 2 for PSP.
The Tokyo Game Show will be held October 9-12. GamePro will be on site to bring you all the latest and greatest, so keep it locked right here for previews and announcements galore.

but all these games are probably coming out in 2009, so wouldn't 2009 be the year of the PS3? Or should we just say it's every year from here on out...

Those playable games sound good. I want to see Resident evil 5 and Resistance 2. But where is Killzone 2?
It's good that they have psp games. That system needs more games.
