Halo 3 getting 'new campaign experience'

The internet is a buzz today dissecting the mysterious Halo trailer released earlier today. But one thing's for sure: a "new campaign experience" is coming to Halo 3, says Microsoft.

New information has surfaced regarding that ambiguous Halo trailer released earlier today. First, an advertisement for the trailer on Xbox Live reads: "High action and deep mystery await players in this new Halo 3 campaign experience. Prepare to drop."
Second, eagle-eyed gamers spotted a "01/06/09" date quickly flash in the trailer, possibly indicating a release date in early January. No other dates appear in the trailer, and a January release for a second Halo 3 campaign would ensure that Gears of War 2 sales wouldn't be compromised this November.
Halo 3.5, here we come. Anyone excited?

Halo 3 was great. I was able to" finish the fight". That fight was awfully short. It would be nice to have more to the campaign mode.

I know it's called 'Halo' and everything, but I really hope they're not going back to another Halo. I was pretty irritated that both sequels started on Earth and ended up going back to Halos, AGAIN. Hopefully this will be something DIFFERENT, and it looks like it will be. It doesn't even look like the Chief's visor, so hopefully we won't even get him back. Seriously, I like Halo and everything, but has there ever been a more boring hero?

Mario at least has some personality though. He's not one of my favorites, but at least he gets excited and yells when he jumps and so forth. Chief is just another generic sci-fi space marine. Even the guy in Doom had that twisted look on his face when you fire the gatling gun.

Im excited. Im sure they will show MC face just because this is supposedly his "last game". Took long enough. Also this may solve the "short halo 3 campaign" problem. It will cost MS points though. But then again so did Shivering Isles.
