Someone's getting fired this morning over at Sony PR. In this video from the Malaysian PS3 launch, managing director Naoi Sudo gets a royal intro from... Nintendo?!

Sony deals self massive damage, plays Zelda theme at Malaysia PS3 launch

Massive self-inflicted damage!

One would think that Sony would be hard-pressed to top its infamous 2006 E3 keynote, when giant enemy crabs, massive damage, and Ridge Racer all made an appearance and failed spectacularly.

One would be wrong. For more on that, just listen closely to the music Sony chose to play at a press event in Malaysia.

I don't think Sony did this purposely, I think someone in Malaysia f*cked up big time. I foresee someone looking for a new job at Sony PR dept.

Maybe this is Sony's way of a acknowledging that the wii is too far ahead to be caught...or maybe not.

That's hilarious. That had to be done on purpose. I can't imagine anyone being involved in the videogames industry and not knowing one of the most legendary themes in gaming. You could put the Zelda theme up there with the music from the first level of Super Mario Bros.
