Square Enix ties the Kingdom Hearts series together again with a new version of the popular GBA title.
Ever wondered what happened in the time skip between Kingdom Hearts I & II? Wonder no more, as Square Enix has just announced that Re:Chain of Memories is making its way to the PlayStation 2. Even better, it's coming this year.
For those who don't know, the original Chain of Memories is the GameBoy Advance tie-in between KHI and KHII, which introduced a card-based combat system rather than open 3D attacking. While it was somewhat overlooked as a handheld title, Chain of Memories sold ridiculously well in Japan -- over 140,000 copies in its first two days. Re:Chain of Memories will definitely look better than the GBA version, featuring the same graphics as Kingdom Hearts. Additional cinematics, voice acting by the English cast, and a few adjustments to combat round out the changes.
Formerly just a pack-in for the Japanese-exclusive Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix+ release, Re:Chain of Memories will be released in North America this December (before all those other Kingdom Hearts games).

Looks good, I've played Chain of Memories before and the card system was an interesting change. I just hope they have refined the deck usage from before.

cool! only problem is i already figured out what all im getting this holiday system, and its already pretty much too much stuff...although it did always confuse me what happened in there. if i dont play it, ill keep that 'what?' sense, which i do kinda really like about going from game 1 to 2
