EA's fresh take on the FPS, Mirror's Edge, will arrive for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on November 11, the publisher confirmed Thursday.

The PC version will launch sometime later this winter.

In a press release, EA said players will have access to a Mirror's Edge demo prior to the game's release. The demo will feature the game's prologue, a tutorial, and a segment of the single-player story mode. The demo will be made available via Xbox Live Marketplace and the PlayStation Store on September 26.

Players who pre-order the game from select retailers (read: probably GameStop) will get a code that unlocks the Time Trial mode in the demo.

"Time Trial mode challenges players to find the fastest route across the rooftops and through the streets. Players can upload their best time to the Mirrors Edge leaderboards for their friends to download and compete against. Players can see their friends ghost run as they race their way through the course to the top of the leaderboards," the release said.

Good news, it's been while since a free-running game made this much attention and from what has been said about it so far, looks to be one great game for the start of the holiday season!

Not quite sure which system to get it for, since I don't know which control scheme would work well with it, any suggestions?

Regardless, can't wait!

My guess is that it will be somewhat similar to the Assassin's Creed of free-running, but seeing how it's EA, they will probably complicate it to points where some of the controls are unnecessary.

That game is sure different than any other FPS. There are no info displays on screen except for a center dot.

Looks nice... and most importantly, different. Can't wait to check it out!
