Rockstar: 'We haven't announced a release date' for GTA IV expansion

Microsoft and Rockstar make differing statements regarding the GTA IV downloadable content coming to Xbox 360, leaving open the possibility of a delay to 2009.
Tell us already!
Microsoft today again promised that downloadable GTA IV content would be coming to Xbox 360 in time for Christmas, according to Video Gamer. The news, however, contradicts previous statements made by both Microsoft and Rockstar earlier this month to GamePro.
When pressed for confirmation of its previous "autumn" promise, Microsoft told us two weeks ago, "I suggest you contact Rockstar for comment on this."
We did, and a Rockstar representative told us, "We haven't announced a release date," lending further credibility that the expansion will be delayed to early next year. As of today, the developer has yet to announce or confirm a release date.
The exclusive Xbox 360 downloadable content was originally scheduled for release in early 2008, before Grand Theft Auto IV was delayed from October 2007 to April of this year.
Without knowing specifics, Microsoft is likely hoping for an exclusive Grand Theft Auto release this fall to boost console sales and offset the losses of the recently announced Xbox 360 price cuts.

it's coming out, NO IT'S NOT, yes it is NO IT'S NOT... who cares? GTA 4 still isn't completed by me yet. But for the diehard GTA fan I can see this having some importance.

Meh. Add-on, expansion content, whatever. I'm doing just fine playing GTAIV on my PS3 and over the PSN. Like Choka said, free shit forever XD.

Whoops, too late.
I wonder if Rockstar sort of regrets the DLC. We already know it won't be free, it's been delayed, and finally, probably the biggest problem, is that not every Xbox 360 has a Hard Drive.
Knowing this we already know the DLC won't sell as well as hoped

who cares??!!!, GTA4 was very short and very boring. i assume this expansion will be just as short and lame...................and why pay $60 a year to play online? i can save that money and buy a game, or 2 used games, or rent 10 games for that much "EVERY YEAR". people that pay for "LIVE" are going to be wasting $300 for the life cycle of their console (5 years).............that's just retarded.
