Microsoft: GTA IV DLC coming to Xbox 360 this fall

After it was announced that downloadable GTA IV content for Xbox 360 might slip to 2009, Microsoft on Wednesday assured fans that the content would arrive before the end of the year.

"In autumn there will be news from Liberty City; the first episodes of GTA IV will be available for download exclusively on Xbox Live," Microsoft said in a press release, causing GTA fans to rejoice.

In June, publisher Take-Two "delayed" the exclusive Xbox 360 content to Q1 2009. But thanks to wacky fiscal calendars, that still meant the content could arrive in November 2008 at the earliest, which now seems to be the case.

To date, Grand Theft Auto IV has sold an estimated 10 million copies across all platforms, easily one of the best-selling games of the year.

I enjoyed the game and all, but I accomplished everything I wanted to with it and traded it in. I'll probably just rent a copy when the DLC comes out, if it's worth it that is.

hahahaha add me to the list of people who played it then just.....STOPPED playing it. ill admit ive been trying to pick it up again, just to finish it because i hate buying games and not finishing them. anyway, im sure this "content" will sell fairly well and all.....it will breath some new (but short) life back into the game, until people STOP playing it for the second time.

I played the hell out of it though, and I got 100% completion. I really enjoyed the game.
