Sony to launch updated PSP with microphone Oct. 14

Third-generation PlayStation Portable will also ship with an improved LCD screen, Sony said on Wednesday.

According to Sony, the updated PSP "will feature a new LCD screen with a wider color gamut and anti-reflection technology, as well as a built-in microphone to enhance both multi-player gaming and Skype calls." All previous features of the PSP-2000, including its design and $169 price, will remain.
As GamePro's George Jones said, who was in Germany for the announcement, its seems as if Sony might position the PSP-3000 as a mobile phone.
Gamers will be able to purchase the 3000 model on October 14 as a stand alone system, or as a $199 bundle with a 4GB memory card, a copy of Ratchet & Clank: Size Matters, and a download voucher for Everyday Shooter.

why don't they work on a fcken update that would allow us to use DS3's with the PSP?........I had to get rid of mine, my hands are just too big and cramp up after like 10 minutes of play
