GamePro.com is getting its biggest firmware upgrade in a decade.
The new look of GamePro.com
To slightly paraphrase our good friends at Microsoft, "For the first time ever, a video game website will be revolutionized through software," aka, we're getting a redesign with some added features to boot.
George Jones, executive creative director of GamePro Media, explains. "The goal of the redesign was much more than a face lift. We're attempting not only to make our stories more readable, but to provide gamers with a more streamlined, relevant, and interactive approach when viewing information on our favorite hobby."
Key site enhancements include:
- Faster searches, superior browsing
- Widescreen videos and lots of 'em
- One-click, five-star user reviews
- Status updates and friends lists
- Bigger, better screenshots
- Free games!
- Improved private messages, user blogs, and user reviews
- Full 1080p HD graphics
- Motion-sensing controls (mouse movements, scroll wheel)
- And free online multiplayer!
We hope you enjoy the new look and improved performance of GamePro.com starting next week. And as our new tagline suggests:
Prepare to play.

Awesome, those features sound great. I was wondering when the website would start to look like the magazine. I like the colors and the cleaner look that the screenshot shows. It looks neat and well organized. Kudos to whoever designed the new gamepro.com.
