After Sonic Chronicles, BioWare considering Mass Effect on DS

Once BioWare finishes up development on Sonic Chronicles, it may try and squeeze a few Xbox 360-sized games, like Mass Effect, onto the DS.

Hey, why not?

Hey, why not?

When BioWare completes development on its upcoming DS title Sonic Chronicles: Dark Brotherhood, it just might try to squeeze Mass Effect on the portable too.

So said Miles Holmes, lead designer of Sonic Chronicles, in an interview with Eurogamer Saturday. And Mass Effect might be just the beginning, as DS versions of Jade Empire and Dragon Age are also on the table.

"We have a lot of big plans for Mass Effect. Having a DS version would be an awesome way to keep interest alive and keep it going in addition to [Mass Effect 2]," Holmes said.

Sonic Chronicles, an RPG starring the blue hedgehog, is due out in September.

Thats might have worked had you already been working on it. Or will you hold off MS2 so you can make one for the DS? Sounds lame. They should have already been working on the game for release next year. I know DS games can be made in a shorter time frame than 360 games but surely they'd be working on this game until after ME2 for 360 comes out, if they start it in a few months. I'm sure work started on ME2 almost a year ago.

Giant Clank

any details on whether or not it will support or continue the plot of the first?

Anything on the DS will be watered down crud. Filler till Mass 2 comes at best.
