EA declines comment on Batman: Dark Knight game

Amid missed opportunity, the powers that be behind the unreleased Batman: The Dark Knight game aren't talking.
Will a "serious" Joker ever make it to games?
A game was being developed by Pandemic (to be published by Electronic Arts), leading up to the movie's July 18 release, but beyond that, all traces of the game have been "as concealed as Bruce Wayne in the Batsuit," writes the Associated Press.
Perhaps more disheartening is the fact that neither Warner Bros, Electronic Arts, or Pandemic are willing to comment, says the AP, leaving many fans to wonder if the possibility of a later release still exists.
Whatever the case, the lack of a game may have cost Warner, EA, and Pandemic $100 million in lost revenues, estimates analyst Michael Pachter.
"I think publishers have concluded the only games that work are the surefire $500 million box office kind of games like 'Spider-Man' and 'Shrek,'" he told The Associated Press. "The 'Transformers' game really surprised people how well it did, but the movie was big. I don't think they expected 'The Dark Knight' movie to be this big."
Perhaps EA took Pandemic off development of the Dark Knight to finish Mercenaries 2, which launches on August 31. In any case, it's a wonder why their never was a game. Then again, don't we complain anyways when a usually sucky movie game is released?

I saw a interview with Gary Oldman and he let is slip that Dark Knight game was going to be released around the time of the DVD release.

again if the game is made. It will either be a hit or a miss. U need the right developers to make good movie games.

Now we KNOW this game will be shit because they will rush it out as soon as possible. They dropped the ball on developing a game for this, now they'll want us to pay for it with piss poor quality. No thanks, I'll rent it at most.

EA do not make a game on this movie please. we dont need every single good movie butchered by games that suck ass. that goes for all developers.
