Metal Gear Solid 4 ships over 3 million on PlayStation 3

Konami today announced that Metal Gear Solid 4 shipped more than 3 million copies worldwide in less than two weeks.
When including sales of both Metal Gear Online (PS3) and Metal Gear Solid: The Essential Collection (PS2) into the mix for the quarter ending June 30, Konami announced total franchise shipments of 3.94 million.
And while sales of Metal Gear Solid 4 have tapered to more normal levels since its June 12 release, its likely the game will reach 4 million shipped in the coming weeks, thanks to continued strong sales the PS3 bundle at retailers.

If you haven"t played this game yet, you're doing yourself a disservice. It's like no metal gear before it. The cutscenes don't bother me one bit, the story is awesome.

My cousin beat it and hasn't touched it since, guess i'll play it this weekend. Looks like a good game though.

MGS4 is the best game I have played this generation of consoles. I'll even go out and say I haven't played a game, well not a game, but a masterpiece like this in years...

Those are some really good numbers, good see the MGS fans are happy. Nice to get a game you have been waiting for. If I end up getting a ps3, this will be a game I would definitely get

Should be way better. I like metal gear solid alot, but they crapped out with MGO. MG controls dont work online
