Call of Duty: World at War hasn't even arrived yet, but already Activision Blizzard has confirmed the next CoD sequel will arrive in 2009.
Never ending war
Are you ready for more Call of Duty? No, not CoD: World at War, which arrives in October--we're talking about the next sequel, which will arrive sometime in 2009.
The sequel was confirmed by Activision Blizzard CEO Bobby Kotick, during an earnings conference call last Friday. He said the series' 2009 sequel will change developer hands from Treyarch to Infinity Ward.
Wired notes that when Infinity Ward renewed its publishing deal with Activision earlier in 2008, rumors hinted it was working on a sci-fi title, as well as an original franchise title. With the 2009 CoD news, it would appear as though the latter has come to pass.

Good, I hope they don't rush it out for money. Blizzard wouldn't, but this is Activision's pet though.

I don't know how Wold at War will beat the gameplay of MODERN WARFARE. The fact that they are going back to ww2 times is a seriously bad move by the developers. Why do they have to go and f**k up a good thing? If this game is a "modern time" game, i'll get it for sure. I'll wait till world at war comes out and see if it's worth getting.
