Who you gonna call? Not Ghostbusters, because the title, among others, was apparently canceled by Activision.
This is really your only option now
UDPATE: Sierra has issued a one statement denial regarding a Ghostbusters cancellation today: "It is not cancelled and will not be canceled." Keep in mind, however, that this statement comes from Sierra, and not Activision Blizzard.
It was a dark day for fans of the upcoming Ghostbusters title on Monday as the game's new parent publisher, Activision Blizzard, seemingly canned the title alongside a few other high profile games that were due out later this year.
The news came via a revised release schedule from the newly formed Activision Blizzard, the new largest publisher on the planet (it was formerly EA).
The future also looks bleak for staff at High Moon Studios and Radical Entertainment, which are due up for some "realignment," according to an Activision Blizzard rep. Massive Entertainment and Swordfish Studios are also "under consideration for sale or closure." Realignment, when translated into layman's terms, more often than not means "layoffs."
As for the impact on you the gamers, Massive and Swordfish are the developer houses behind Prototype and The Bourne Conspiracy. No word yet on how the realignment will impact future titles from those firms.
There's also no word on Sierra's King's Quest or Leisure Suit Larry, Joystiq noted Monday.

numonex Posted at: 07/29/08 at 5:04 AM PST the gaming industry just starting looking just a little worse today. More games are getting cancelled lately...Why is that is it because the game industry made enough money for the year, there for they holding back games to boost up their stock for next year or is that alot of these games are going back to the drawing board to polish up. What is it?
