Nintendo releases second half game lineup for 2008

In a press release sent to European media this week, Nintendo has unveiled their partial U.S. game lineup for 2008, including several third-party titles.

Highlights from the lineup include Quantum of Solace, Spider-Man: Web of Shadows, Call of Duty World at War, Guitar Hero World Tour, Madden NFL 09 All Play, Skate It, Mushroom Men, a pair of Stars Wars games, Animal Crossing, Mario Super Sluggers, Sonic Unleashed, Ghostbusters, de Blob, Deadly Creatures, Shaun White Snowboarding, and a handful (get it, handful) of solid looking DS titles.

If you were hoping for more, Nintendo said the release was "incomplete," meaning more games could make their way into the lineup. Speaking of which, Shigeru Miyamoto on Wednesday confirmed that Nintendo is working on a Pikmin sequel for Wii. "We are making Pikmin," the legendary designer said, when asked of the franchise's future on Wii.

Lots of games, only a handful of good ones. I'm still looking forward to Power Pros '08 and Force Unleashed but not much else.

that's A LOT of games. Say what you want but the Wii is this gens PS2. When parents go to buy a gaming console for the kids, they are going to look at the qauntity and style of games avalible for the system.[p] Nintendo IS the Kid console, and kids buy WAAY more toys than adults. The 360 and PS3 just can't compete for the Wii crowd (kids) so they shouldn't even try, they should concentrate on the teen and up.[p] Remember, after all, all kids become teens and adults, so if the Wii gets them hooked, the 360 and the PS3 will finish the job when they get older.

I think I'm gonna start to submitt my ideas for games to Nintendo and its 3rd party publishers. Since wii had Trauma Center, why not " Male Enhancement Surgeon: 3 inches of dynamite and rising. That is the type of game that would bring a smile to Wii60.
