Resident Evil 5 coming March 13, 2009!

Capcom on Monday confirmed the release date for Resident Evil 5, while attending Microsoft's E3 media briefing.

LOS ANGELES -- "Please hang on just a little longer, and we'll have it to you shortly," said Resident Evil producer, Jun Takeuchi, while presenting at the Xbox 360 media briefing on Monday.

In addition to confirming its release, Capcom demonstrated the first playable footage of RE5, which looks like Resident Evil 4 on steroids (and that's a good thing).

Based in Africa, Resident Evil 5 will feature an online cooperative mode, Capcom revealed, in addition to the single-player story.

The game will release simultaneously on Xbox 360 and PS3, quite appropriately, on Friday, March 13, 2009.

Right.. it looked just like Resident Evil 4 but only better. I think they should have gone in a new direction. Stop with the remakes and rehashing.
