As expected, company remains quiet on the features to be included in the Xbox 360 Dashboard Update.
"We don't comment on rumors and speculation," a company representative said on Friday, when asked about the 3D dashboard update rumored to be coming to Xbox 360.
According to Kotaku, "a number of sources" have revealed that Microsoft will soon announce an iPhone like dashboard update that would allow gamers to navigate menu items using motion, much like the fictional interface seen in Minority Report.
The statement is the second time that Microsoft has declined comment on its now-delayed, though still incoming Xbox 360 Spring Update.
In May, the company quasi-denied that a "motion sensor" would be coming to 360, after an alleged feature list suggesting the contrary surfaced on the internet.

Honestly, I'd much rather click left or right to navigate through the dashboard. Using motion control just to go from a message to the marketplace would be very annoying.

The Kotaku article says it would be a "second interface option". This would be a pretty high tech, owesome option to have. Those who hate it don't have to bother with it.

They aren't stupid enough to make this their only option, . . if there is anything that you learn being a software developer is that many people are uncomfortable with change. By giving the option of keeping the old dashboard, you make everyone happy, except for the people here that seem to have made up their mind already without even seeing or trying the new dash.[p] At least MS gives Nintendo credit for turning the gaming world on it's ear and gives them FULL credit for the innovation, without saying, "it's not that great" like another company that rips and doesn't give a nod or props to the original dev for having the balls and desire to push gaming in new directions.
