Report: Xbox 360 to get iPhone-like dashboard update

Microsoft is working on an alternative way to browse the Xbox 360 menu options, a new report said on Tuesday.
Xbox 360 dashboard going 3D?
According to Kotaku, Microsoft is preparing to unveil a second interface option for Xbox 360, one that uses rumored motion controls to navigate a 3D environment of options, much like the iPhone and fictional interface seen in Minority Report.
The information comes from "a number" of unnamed sources, says Kotaku, which claimed a 95 percent accuracy rate for the ambitious rumor. What's more, the same designer behind the fictional Minority Report graphical user interface is said to be working on the Xbox 360 one, says a second report by Kotaku.
Microsoft was not immediately available for comment when contacted by GamePro on Wednesday. Nevertheless, the company is set to hold its annual Xbox media briefing on July 14 in Los Angeles, the day before E3 begins.
Sorry unbridled dreamers, but this rumor is just too crazy to believe. Why would Microsoft invest all the time and money on a secondary interface? It just doesn't make any sense.

The interface is fine, they need something that really blows 2.40 away because with 2.40 released people are really wondering what they are paying for with XBL.

how about instead of a dashboard update (if this is true, which is doubtful), they update the backwards compatibility list for the first time 7 months.
