In case it wasn't obvious, Bleszinski primarily makes games for Xbox 360, while Metal Gear Solid 4 is exclusive to PlayStation 3.

In an interview with IGN, discussing the upcoming Gears of War 2 for Xbox 360, the budding game designer spoke candidly about the competition.

"Metal Gear Solid is our example of the game we're not doing," said Bleszinski, seemingly referring to the lengthy cut scenes and movie-like qualities of Metal Gear Solid 4, released this month for PlayStation 3. He added, "passive entertainment is on its way out."

While the gameplay of Metal Gear Solid 4 has been universally praised by critics, some reviewers and gamers have expressed concern over the extended amount of skippable cinemas, particularly during the latter half of the game.

Cliffy, you dont have room to talk. MGS is an EPIC series and will go down as one of the biggest ever. Plus Resistance 2 is going to be better than gears anyway. Not by much though.

Typical EPIC comments. Now when EPIC makes a game for th PS3, they will say the very same thing about the Xbox360. Remember the crap they said about UT3 on the Xbox360? Then as the PS3 version is released and the upcoming UT3 game coming tot he Xbox360 is on verge of release, they say great things of the Xbox360 version. LOL Folks. This is EPIC PR and has been like this since the company was founded. They say shit about all systems depending on which game is coming out on which system. Also goes to show you that a game dev being paid millions to make an exclusive game for one format will say things to prop it. It's called even more PR. How many times did we here this coming from Konami and Insomniac and Factor Five? Now EPIC as the norm? There paid to say this shit

That's my only gripe with Epic as well, they use the same character models over and over again.

This game is till going to kick so much a**. Hopefully its even better than the first one, which it probably will be.

Yeah its going to be good....AAA for sure..... But how much different will it be......Hopefully more people in Multiplayer and more things going

I agree somewhat. MGS4 is a great videogame but the damn cutscenes are so long it may feel like you are playin a movie instead of a game. I know you can skip over them but then you miss out the story. I stopped playing the game cause of the cutscenes, i'll finish it at another time. However, I am hooked on Metal Gear Online, that certainly isn't passive entertainment.

Why is this considered news? I can't take anything seriously from the guy who owes all of his early success to PC gaming then says retarded things such as PC gaming is in "dissarray" and is "dying" or already dead. The fans of the Unreal series on the PC made Epic what it is today and those very same fans were rewarded with the unsupported crapshoot that is UT3... Gears of Unreal ftl.
