Nintendo, not content to wait for E3, decided to reveal a few first party Wario and Kirby titles today.
Campy side-scrolling adventure will be mine!
Nintendo decided to preempt next month's E3 Media & Business Summit today by announcing some new titles for the Wii and Nintendo DS.
First up is a new title starring Wario, called Wario Land: Shake It! The title will be a classic side-scrolling adventure for the Wii, and launches on September 29. A Nintendo press release said players will hold the Wiimote on its side, like an old school NES controller, with a little current gen motion-sensing thrown in, a la Paper Mario.
On the DS there will be another Kirby title, called Kirby Super Star, that will also launch on the 29th. The game is a "re-imagining" of the classic battle against King Dedede and Meta Knight, complete with fully rendered animated cutscenes and local wireless play, Nintendo said.
Lastly, there's Mystery Case Files: MillionHeir, launching Sept. 8, for the DS. In Case Files, players will "seek out cleverly hidden items in a multitude of painted scenes [and] progress through an interactive detective story investigating a cast of characters and uncovering new evidence to find the rightful heir to a million-dollar fortune."
The interactive logic puzzles will use both the touch-screen interface and built-in microphone, as well as a multiplayer mode.
Looks more like an SNES game than Wii title

I tried playing Smash Bros. with the Wiimote on it's side once for about 5 minutes and nearly got blisters because of the tiny + and - buttons that don't lie above the plastic. Hopefullly Nintendo doesn't make those action buttons for this game or alot of people won't be playing it very long.
