GamePro unveils its August 2008 cover, and it's irresistible: an exclusive hands-on preview of Resistance 2!

You know what they say: Bigger is better.

NEXT FRIDAY: The second panel!

NEXT FRIDAY: The second panel!

The cat is out of the bag -- the upcoming August issue of GamePro has a huge exclusive preview of the biggest game of 2008: Resistance 2. And when we say "big," we're not kidding. Resistance 2 has two separate campaign modes (we played 'em both), 60-player online multiplayer (we played it), and one hell of an 8-player cooperative mode (think Diablo meets Team Fortress 2).

There's also something else. Something we can't mention yet. A truly...colossal secret. You'll have to wait for the August issue to get full details, but you'll know it when you see it. Protip: You may want to sit down while reading this issue.

In other news, the August issue of GamePro also contains an exclusive contest: you can win a Resistance 2 beta code! But to win, you've got to snag a copy of the August 2008 GamePro; subscribers will get their copy in early July, and the newsstand version will hit on July 8th.

Check back next Friday, when we unveil the second panel of our limited-edition fold-out Resistance 2 cover!

That's either a really bad angle of Hale or just a crappy drawing of him. Looks like he didn't put in his false teeth or something the way his face is collapsed. *shrug* maybe it's just me.

I've played the first one over my cousins house yesterday and I gotta tell you, in my eyes it's different compared to alot of other fps but I like it. The best part I think was all the enemies shooting at you at the same time, WOW that's alot of em lol. Now can't wait to check out Resistance 2 or atleast ima try to convince my cousin to let me borrow his PS3. Everytime I have the money to buy a PS3 all of a sudden magically BOOM more bills, grrrrrrrrrr.

it would be cool, if Hale could turn into a chimera and actually still be sane...
