See Mario Super Sluggers intro, gameplay in action

New media for Nintendo's latest Mario sellout surfaced this week, including both the intro and actual gameplay footage.
Without breaking the suspense, I'm sure the general storyline for Mario Super Sluggers goes something like this: Mario is banished to an island to save the world from Bowser's morbid plots by playing baseball. Or maybe Mario and Co. just want to be friends and play America's favorite pastime.
In any case, the polished (but somewhat grainy) intro trailer and Japanese gameply footage can be seen below, as obtained by sneaky gamers somewhere.
Mario Super Sluggers (Aug 25) is one of the few late summer Wii games already revealed by Nintendo. Earlier this week, the company said it would announce "several new titles that core gamers will be interested" at E3 next month.

My facetious tone aside, I'm actually looking forward to this for two reasons: the first Mario baseball game on GameCube was a blast, and baseball on Wii is a match made in heaven.

It seems that you can now see from the pitcher's point of view unlike the GameCube version

Well legend. Snake and Link fighting took the "cuteness" out of Brawl. Snake and Link should be in this. Links special is a bomb, Snake's a fake death pill. (Perfect for outs)
