Exclusive Xbox 360 Grand Theft Auto IV DLC delayed until Q1 2009

Take-Two CEO Ben Feder revealed on the company's call to investors Thursday that the first round of DLC for the Xbox 360 version of GTA IV will arrive in Q1 2009.

On an investor's call Thursday, Take Two CEO Ben Feder told reporters that the exclusive Grand Theft Auto IV episodic content for Xbox 360 would arrive in Q1 2009.

Since company calendars go by the fiscal year, that means DLC for GTA IV on Xbox 360 will arrive in November 2008 at the earliest. Feder did not delve into any further details, including any possibility of future PS3 DLC.

Feder also dismissed analyst inquiries about a delay with the DLC, citing "balance" instead.

"The 2009 release of this highly anticipated episode will provide better balance among top titles," Feder said. "The reason we moved it is more about portfolio balance than anything else... the delay is not about development issues."

DLC = DownLoadable Content. I was hoping more for September as there as so many good games coming out in the holiday season this year.

I own the game and a 360 and im bored of it already. I bought the game from all the great reviews and im sorry it was slightly above avg at best. Played the PS3 one too and it wasnt any better if not worse. All the hype and nothing again. Decent game no doubt but not an all time great. DLC im sure wont sway me, $hit i prolly wont even dl it. Ill just hang out till madden comes out i guess. Waste of $$ MS.

i moved on...better games will be out by then. saints row 2 is coming...it looks like a funner game.. imo....have fun with the dlc
