According to Insomniac president Ted Price, Resistance 2 will have no loading screens when it launches this fall, thanks to ninja optimization techniques.

"Hopefully you won't see any loading screens in Resistance 2," Price told Eurogamer on Wednesday, when speaking of graphical and load time improvements. "At least that's the plan!"

It's unclear whether Price was suggesting zero load times or zero load screens (there is a subtle difference). In any case, the first game suffered from no more load times than is common these days.

Resistance 2 is planned for release this fall on PlayStation 3.

I think it is funny how Sony tries to spin things to make people forget they are wasting hard drive space on manditory installations. Blu-Ray 4x speed , future my ass

zack morris, its not 1985 anymore, get the hell out of here lol. Either way this game is awesome, buuuut i hear it'll still be 720p and 30fps, not what i was expecting from insomniac. I thought atleast 60fps. Dissapointments.

Then it will have the mandatory install most likly... Would rather have that then load screens... Level based games are still cool in my book though! Think of Call of Duty 4 with out load screens, or a game that starts... then you can play the whole 15 hour campain with out load screens. Just save wherever and check you're objectives to see whats going on... There are games like that on PC I just wouldn't know?

Resistance2 is gona whoop major ass i hope .It was awesome shooting the rocket splitting it and watching everything around it get nailed,The splitter was decent but it blew ass against humans or anything smaller then a car.It was great versus vehicles and those flying bats but other then that it BLOWS..Overall the best weapon in my opinion is the plasma rifle good damage and the beason once you get used to it the beacon is devastateing its amuseing to see ppl running and shooting them without even aiming.
