Variety is reporting this week that actor Bruce Willis is in serious negotiations to play Adam "Kane" Marcus in the Kane and Lynch: Dead Men movie.
This movie can't lose!
Variety confirmed Tuesday that actor Bruce Willis is negotiating to star in a Lionsgate film based on Eidos Entertainment's Kane and Lynch: Dead Men video game.
Willis will play the role of Adam "Kane" Marcus, a mercenary who plays the "sane" part of a murderous duo-for-hire. Paired with Kane is schizophrenic killer James Lynch, who has yet to be cast, Variety sources said. In the Eidos game, the pair are forced to undertake a mission to retrieve a stolen microchip, but there is no information available today regarding the plot of the feature film.
Variety notes that Simon Crane will direct the film, after having served as second unit director and stunt coordinator for "Hancock," "Mr. & Mrs. Smith," "Troy" and "X-Men: The Last Stand."
Editor's Note: Billy Bob Thorton has not been confirmed for the part of Lynch.

So give the good games to bad directors and bad actors, and save the really bad games for good directors and good actors. . . . . that's the dumbest thing I ever heard

The Verdict by Jack Loftus Was this game even good enough to warrant a Hollywood film? Direct-to-DVD, maybe, but a 65% Metacritic game doesn't inspire very much confidence in this writerDespite the games shortcomings, the games story was very much interesting. The dialogue in the game was right out of a Quentin Tarintino movie. I think with the right script and writer, this movie can workout better than the game. I gave the game another chance and despite the controls, the game isn't as bad as people think, I mean the people that never played the game and just went on reviews alone.

Game might not have been great, but I refuse to count out Bruce Willis' ability to make this movie fun.
