The July issue of Xbox World 360 magazine purportedly contains a photo of the oft-rumored Xbox 360 motion controller -- have a look!

The above mag scan comes via the UK-based Ultimate Gamers Podcast website, which on Wednesday claimed the photo was taken from the July issue of Xbox World 360 magazine, also based in the UK. No further details were divulged.

Rumors of an Xbox 360 motion controller, code-named Newton, surfaced in late 2007. Since then, a total of five reports have suggested that Microsoft will launch a motion-sensing peripheral by the end of this year to better compete with the Nintendo Wii.

Microsoft has so far denied comment on the issue.

I fully believe that Microsoft has been experimenting with motion controls behind close doors -- after all, it's two primary game competitors use motion. The question is, will the company take what they've been working on to market? We shall see...

i would prolly get one.. depends what kinda games it works with... but if i can get wii controls with next gen grafics... im all for it...regardless of what the haters say.. its a good idea

I would think that it's their motion controller, what the hell else would it be man? . . . it kind of looks like the base of a light saber.........i still say that just this without a nun-chuck attachment for direction, is a mistake. . . if something ain't broken, don't fix it, . . and if your gonna rip someone off, don't do it half assed at 80%.........go for broke and make it as close as possible without getting sued.
