Blizzcon 2008 storms into Anaheim October 10-11

Blizzard Entertainment announced today that its annual show, BlizzCon, will be held at the Anaheim Convention Center on October 10-11.
Tickets to the perennially sold-out event will go on sale for $100 in the next couple of weeks, said a Blizzard press release. According to Blizzard, the massive event is even more massive this year, and will take up three convention halls. Aspiring attendees should note that last year sold out fairly quickly, and there's no indication that 2008 will be any different.

- Hands-on play time with upcoming Blizzard Entertainment releases
- Discussion panels with Blizzard Entertainment developers Competitive and casual tournaments for players to showcase their talents
- Areas and activities devoted to licensed products such as the World of Warcraft Trading Card Game
- Costume, machinima, and character sound-alike contests with great prizes
- Commemorative merchandise based on the Blizzard Entertainment franchises
- A silent auction
