- April 08, 2008 00:00 AM PST
Additional details for Gears of War 2 surfaced on Tuesday by way of the popular NeoGAF online community.
According to transcriptions from the May 2008 issue of Game Informer posted on NeoGAF, new multiplayer modes, expanded co-op play, a "darker and more heartfelt" story, and "huge numbers" of on-screen Locust will be present when Gears 2 ships for Xbox 360 this November.
Reportedly, co-op will support varying difficulty settings for each player, such that one person can play on Hardcore and another on Casual. Additionally, players will be able to easily drop in and out of co-op play, reveals Game Informer.
Regarding the original announcement that the sequel will be bigger and better than the original, lead designer Cliff Bleszinski says: "We have creatures that make the Brumak look like a baby panda bear."
