No, I am not a PlayStation 2 controller!

The PlayStation.blog reports today that the formerly impossible to create Dualshock 3 controller for PlayStation 3 will arrive in stores next week.

"Rumble is back with the DualShock 3 wireless controller for PlayStation 3," said Kristin Neirinckx, Associate Product Manager for Sony Computer Entertainment America. "These are shipping to store shelves as we speak, so be on the lookout for them next week." They'll sell for $54.99.

Neirinckx also posted a list of DualShock 3-compatible games, which included MotorStorm, Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, and EA's Burnout Paradise. Titles in the list with an asterisk, like Motorstorm, will require a patch in order to activate the rumble feature, she said.

The patch will automatically download to your PS3 if your console is connected online.

As expected, Sony will discontinue the sale of the motion-only, $50 Sixaxis controller as a result. "Sixaxis will no longer be offered after it's completely sold through at retail (likely by the summer timeframe)," a company representative told MTV Multiplayer on Wednesday.
