Top Spin 3 coming May 20 to Xbox 360, PS3, Wii

2K Sports on Friday confirmed the spring release of Top Spin 3 on all major consoles including the Nintendo DS.

The latest game was shown at the 2008 Sony Ericsson Open in Miami on Wednesday with James Blake and Maria Sharapova going toe-to-toe on the Wii version. A virtual victor was not declared in a presser released by 2K Games.
Additional gameplay details were sadly absent from the announcement, but Top Spin 3 will feature at least 20 playable characters and will use the Wii Remote for swings and Nunchuck for player movement on Wii.

Here's hoping Wii owners finally get a proper, deep, and engaging tennis game. I've always like the Top Spin series, even better than Virtua Tennis in some cases.
