Gran Turismo 5: Prologue U.S. soundtrack is longer than the game

Sony announced this week that the soundtrack to its $40 racing sampler Gran Turismo 5: Prologue will feature songs by artists like Weezer and The Mars Volta.

Weezer Gran Turismo 5: Prologue

Weezer likes cars. Fast cars

Sure, it may be a $40 demo, but at least Gran Turismo 5: Prologue will feature a full fledged soundtrack with the likes of Weezer and The Mars Volta belting out tunes as you circle the six included tracks.

American audiences will even have the added bonus of an extended soundtrack with U.S.-only extras.

One of those extras is from the band Weezer, which will be using Gran Turismo as a platform to promote its latest single, "Automatic."

U.S. players will also be able to listen to a dozen exclusive singles from DJ Shadow and The Klaxons. Trailers for Automatic and an in-game track from The Mars Volta are available at PlayStation.Blog.

The full list of exclusive tracks to North America include:

  • Weezer - "Automatic" (LA Riots remix)
  • The Mars Volta - "Goliath" (EL-P remix)
  • Justice - "Let There Be Light"
  • SebastiAn - "Dolami"
  • Kavinsky - "Testarossa Autodrive" (SebastiAn remix)
  • DJ Shadow - "LOVE LOVE"
  • Does it Offend You, Yeah? - "With a Heavy Heart (I Regret to Inform You)"
