Sources: Wii Fit will guess your weight for $90

Video game retailer GameStop is listing the Wii Fit game/balance board package at $90 with a $10 preorder.

Wii Fit $90

This is not one of the official Wii Fit exercises

How much are you willing to pay to balance precariously in front of your television while a video game barks BMI-related insults in your tubby, general direction?

If you said $69.99 (the previously rumored price of Wii Fit) then get off the scale and go run a few laps, because GameStop's listing for the Wii Fit exercise peripheral has gained a few pounds since earlier in the year to about $90. Apparently, New Year's resolutions are difficult to keep even for lifeless motion sensing pieces of plastic. Go figure.

Anyway, over at the WiiCast, a photo of a GameStop internal price listing sheet lists Wii Fit at $89.99 with a minimum preorder deposit of $10. The usual GameStop deposit price is $5.

So $90 it is then. Maybe. Nintendo promised it would be "less than $100" last year. For those GamePro readers who are on board with the Wii Fit, is that too much for what it has to offer? Before you answer, don't forget that a few third party games, like We Ski, can integrate the balance functionality into their gameplay. Future titles, one could rightly assume, will also share this trait.
