The Halo 3 "Legendary Map Pack" will see the return of Sidewinder and a healthy dose of Halo 1 nostalgia.
Bungie goes back to the future with "Avalanche"
When the next Halo 3 batch of map content goes live next month, Bungie will be going for a distinctly last-generation feel with a modern twist.
According to Bungie.net, the new "Legendary Map Pack" April 15 update will include "Avalanche," which is in essence a remake of Halo 1's classic "Sidewinder," although it won't be a carbon copy. That said, Bungie did reveal the U-shaped stage would invoke feelings of nostalgia for fans of the first title in the critically acclaimed Xbox series.
Also included in the Bungie.net update were some price point confirmations. "Avalanche," "Ghost Town" and one unnamed map will drop April 15 for 800 points.
"Remember, we just make the maps, we don't get to price them," a Bungie rep said on the web site.
